My Own Malunggay Tree

I have been a veggie lover even when I was younger. And, I prefer veggie salad with no meat or cooked veggie with brown rice.

One of my favorites is malunggay (or moringa) because it is rich in nutrients such as Vitamins A and C, iron and calcium. So malunggay is constantly in my weekly shopping list.

Luckily, in almost every lot corner of the village we recently moved into, there’s
malunggay tree. Because of that we have malunggay leaves in our meals, lunch or dinner, at least once or twice a week.

Then four months ago, I decided that we should have our own malunggay tree since we love malunggay so much.

So I asked my brother-in-law to get us a branch which he did earnestly. He went for a long one which was almost as tall as me.

Subsequently I took the branch cutting straight to my back yard and poke the ground
Malunggay leaves are highly nutritious, being a significant source of beta-carotene, Vitamin C, protein, iron, and potassium.

The leaves are cooked and used like spinach. In addition to being used fresh as a substitute for spinach, its leaves are commonly dried and crushed into a powder, and used in soups and sauces.

with it, not bothering to dig a pit. I managed to plant the branch cutting probably about six to eight inches down.

I watered the branch cutting occasionally for a few months. During those times, the branch looked disappointingly dead.

Then a couple of weeks ago, my malunggay tree started to show some new growths! Here is my own malunggay tree a week after:

Do You Believe in the Power of Your Subconscious Mind?

I have been reading the book: The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. I am not finished with the book but it definitely enlightens me. I have just been through a few pages, chapters one to three.

I find it very useful tool for everyone especially those who go through difficulties
It is just amazing to learn how powerful we can all be if we know how our conscious and subconscious minds work. We can do things that seem impossible for most of us.
of life. It is a great guide to turn things around when there seem to be no way out or no solution.

Good news for all: there is a solution no matter how difficult the present situation may be. We just need to unlock the power of our own subconscious minds.

Some of my favorite excerpts from chapter two are the following:

• Choose to be cooperative, joyous, friendly, lovable, and the whole world will respond.

• Choose happiness and abundance.

• Choose to believe that something good can happen and is happening now.

• The suggestions and statements of others have no power to hurt you.

• I can do all things through the power of my own subconscious mind.

• Choose life! Choose love! Choose health! Choose happiness!

• Believe in good fortune, divine guidance, right action, and all the blessings of life.

• Watch what you say. You have to account for every idle word.

Most importantly, is this one:
"Believe in the working powers of your own subconscious minds."

Before I found this book, I have always believed in our own subconscious power to get it to work for us. For instance, if I want to wake up at a certain time in the morning, let us say five o’clock, I would tell myself to wake up at that time. The next morning, I would wake up at exactly that time even without an alarm buzzing to wake me up. And, I am sure that the same is true for others too.

In my younger years, I have told myself things and events that I wanted for myself in the future and truly believed that it would happen. Well, to be honest, not all of them came true, but half of them did. Perhaps it was because I did not understand how powerful our subconscious minds can be.

It is just amazing to learn how powerful we can all be if we know how our conscious and subconscious minds work. We can do things that seem impossible for most of us.

Think about this:
“Change your thoughts, and you can change your destiny.”

Below is an affirmation of a man with nasty temper (as stated in page 49):

“Henceforth, I shall grow more good humored. Happiness and cheerfulness are more becoming my normal states of mind.

Every day I am becoming more and more loving and understanding. I am now becoming the center of cheer and good will to all those about me, infecting them with good humor.

This happy, joyous and cheerful mood is now becoming my normal, natural state of mind. I am grateful.”

Saying this to himself everyday changed his life for the better.
