Be Body Beautiful At Any Age!

Inevitably, process of body aging is unstoppable no matter what we do to prevent it. We may try to delay it through artificial means e.g. anti-aging creams, filler injections but eventually, body aging will start to show.

In fact, as early as 20, people may start to notice the beginning signs of ageing: fine wrinkles, loss of firmness in hands and neck, thinning skin, etc.

For women, it is more worrisome when skin starts to sag and unfortunately, it will constantly change. However, a woman's spirit to be carefree and chic will not be shaken because her beauty lies not only skin-deep but also deep within even when skin condition continues to age as shown in the diagram below:

As you can see, breasts change is very normal as we age. And there is no such thing as a 'perfect' or 'normal' breast shape or size.

If you are planning to purchase your bra soon, it is important to know that 'fitting' is very crucial. A bra should not only fit in size but should also correspond to changes in shape and softness of breasts.

Now then, how do you choose your bra size?

Summer #BlogChallenge 4: What's in the Blog Name?

Summer Blog Challenge #4

Meaning Behind Your Blog Name

Hmmm what's in the name? Thousands of unique names to think of or to choose from. But what are the factors that make us choose certain names? How do we choose names for our own children?

It's a daunting task to pick a name for a newborn baby, let alone our own blogs that we love.

This blog was created in 2008 and was just titled plainly "Geca's Realm" and it remained that way until recently. I thought "Geca's Realm" is too 'general', others must've thought it's a silly blog name. Who cares about someone else's "realm"? Yeah, exactly!

Divalicious Pinoy Mom emerged!

Then I remembered that the original template was called "Divalicious".  I'm a proud diva so it fits that I should be called Divalicious Mom. However, to make it more unique, I added
I loved that template simply because of the divalicious woman on the background and because I'm a diva myself.  Then I got tired of it because I can't tweak it. So I changed template.
"Pinoy", which means Filipino, so that fellow Filipino bloggers know me.

Therefore, this blog is now named: Divalicious Pinoy Mom

Summer #BlogChallenge 3: 15 Interesting Facts (About What? Ah Well... Me!)

Summer Blog Challenge #3

List 15 Interesting Facts About Yourself

I'm hardly interesting but let me see if I can come up with something here. Jeez! That's a lot huh 15 facts!

Well here are some facts about me, in random order:
  • I am from the South East Asia, the Pearl of the Orient Seas: Philippines! I've worked abroad and have traveled the world but won't trade living here for good because "It's More Fun in the Philippines"!
  • I was a "Mystery Shopper" once in Toronto, Canada. None of the shop assistants nor restaurant crew of shops and restaurants, respectively, that I went to "on assignment"  never suspected that I was spying on how they deal with customers and shop's cleanliness.
  • As a kid, I was a little bit competitive academically. I've been to spelling bees, essay writing contests, science bee, cathechism (of the Catholic Church) and other quiz bees. I won some, brought medals, a trophy; and lost some too.
  • I was once a champion of "Battle of the Sexes" at a local radio station. It was a series of competition against opposite sexes where radio DJ asked random general questions until the last male and female compete against each other.
  • I have successfully avoided eating pork for almost 6 years now.
  • I grew up knowing that I'm right-handed but my Mom told me that she just "corrected" me from being left-handed when I was little.
  • I have a tiny butterfly tattoo on my right leg which I had done to cover up the scar caused by a (neighbor's) dog's bite.
  • I used to wash my hands frequently, maybe more often than others do. Yes! I was a little bit paranoid about germs and bacteria so I guess you can say I was a "germophobe"... once!
  • I dislike my speaking voice so as much as possible I don't say a word whenever we do family home video nor do I like speaking on the phone.
  • I play really loud house music when I'm doing household chores. It keeps me going and makes me sing and dance too while working :D
  • I placed second at a singing competition once!
  • I've worked in the Middles East in my early 20's and have lived and traveled to Hong Kong, England, Thailand, Canada, Ireland, Switzerland, USA, Bermuda.
  • The travel agency "magically" changed my year of birth when I applied to work abroad. I didn't know that at the time there was age limit. Hence, I had to be older. I only learnt what they did the day I flew.
  • I have a collection of Harry Potter books, House of Night books, Shopaholics' series and more because I love reading books!
  • Lastly, I'm the Divalicious Filipino single Mom of the most gorgeous British-Filipino 9-year old boy!

Summer #BlogChallenge 2: Photo of Yourself Smiling

Summer Blog Challenge - #2

"Photo of Yourself Smiling"

This was taken over three years ago at People's Park in Tagaytay City, Philippines.

I usually prefer to stay behind my dslr because I love taking snap shots of people; catching their precious expressions whether smiling, laughing, or pouting. On the other hand, it's a real treat and rare that I get to be in front of camera and catch me like this, ecstatically smiling.

I have other more recent photos but this one remains my favorite. At the time, I was blissfully happy, content and in love!

Why Am I Doing This "Summer #BlogChallenge"?

Going Green with the Grizls

Have you come across a blogger challenge recently?

It was the Twitter feed of a blog post, shared on Facebook, that caught my eye. I followed the link until I reached the Facebook Group for the "Summer Blog Challenge". It seems interesting and fun to do so I joined the group.

What's the point of joining another group (not to mention the eight blogging group and five random groups, one of which is mine while the rest are random friends' groups)?

Well... why not? It's a "force" to push my creative writing skills (ehehehe!). Yes, as simple as that!

I'm 5 days behind so I better get to work!
