In Her Own Words - Molly from Nairobi, Kenya

Dear readers,

Hi, I’m Molly. I think you’ve probably seen some of the videos I’ve shared from my home and school in Nairobi Kenya.

Someone recently asked me if I knew that I was inspiring people around the world. Honestly, I hadn't thought of it before, but if people enjoy my story, I'm happy to share it!

If anything can come from these videos, I hope that more girls like me get a free WFP lunch at school. I know that if I didn’t receive a school meal every day, I would be hungry and wouldn't be able to concentrate in class.

Will you help WFP give school meals to another girl or boy like me?

The meals we get in school don't just help us concentrate, they also encourage more children -- especially girls -- to come to school. Some parents have a hard time giving their kids a lunch every day, so the help WFP provides is really important.

My classmates and I know that by going to school, we are working towards a better future. We know that no matter what else happens that day, we'll have a good lunch waiting for us at school.

By supporting WFP, you can help another child like me receive meals at school. I bet lots of others will like school as much as I do then!

I love learning in school. When I get home from school, I even help teach my little cousin to write his name and learn his numbers.

Because of kind people like you, I’m working hard to make a better life for myself and for my family.

Thank you!

Molly
